The Peel P50, is recognised by the Guinness book of records as the Worlds smallest road legal car. It was advertised as being capable of seating, "one adult and a shopping bag," and was designed in the Isle of White.
Manufactured between 1962 and 1965, it cost just £199 to buy new.
Increadbly it was just 52 inches long, 41 inches wide and weighed in at 60kg. It had just one door and one headlight.

Opps don't rag it too much folks!
Jeremy Clarkson famously drove the Peel P50 around the BBC building in London, during an episode of Top Gear.
And here is a picture of a very small man in a P50, making it look like a normal sized car.
